What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energetic practice that brings the bodies - physical, mental, emotional & spiritual - back into a state of peace and well-being through balancing and restoring the energy normally present in oneself. We become tired, ill, or feel dis-ease when we are out of balance due to stress, overwork, and worry which deplete or overwhelm us leaving us feeling fatigued, ill, and anxious. The Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit for the energy present around us and funnels this fresh energy to the client's bodies. Reiki asks us to remember our origins and find our natural state of peace and well-being that exists within each of us by regaining energetic balance.
What is a Reiki session like?
The Reiki practitioner uses still touch on a fully clothed and blanketed client, lying comfortably on a heated massage table. A Reiki session lasts approximately 75-minutes and leaves clients feeling relaxed, refreshed, and renewed.
Who can receive Reiki?
Reiki is safe for anyone at any time, has no contra-indications, and does not interfere with medicine. Reduced stress, a feeling of peace, wellbeing, and mental clarity are the most common benefits of Reiki. At The Bee and Storms, we follow the national COVID-19 safety guidelines for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers utilizing mask wearing for both client and practitioner, proper sanitizing, temperature checks, and additional intake forms for contact tracing should it become necessary.
What is Mindfulness and how does one practice it?
Mindfulness is a state of being achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. Jessica assists clients in person or virtually during 30 to 60-minute sessions, in achieving a level of quiet awareness in the body and mind. The goings-on in our very busy lives is temporarily set aside as we focus on gentle breathwork, mind/body awareness, and permission to become spiritually aware and expansive. While remaining present and aware, our achy physical bodies, racing minds, and tumultuous emotions are given a much-needed bit of stillness to find quiet and wholeness within.
Can I combine Reiki with a Mindfulness Session?
Yes! Spend two+ hours with Jessica working 1:1 through what needs working on! The focus is on you and your needs when we combine these holistic modalities into an experience that will leave you feeling balanced, nurtured, listened to, and rested.
Can I combine a Reiki or Mindfulness Session with my next Therapy Session?
Of course! Working in collaboration to offer our clients a truly holistic experience has been our goal from day one.
